The Meandering Way of Parenthood: Can Somebody Get Me A Flashlight?
arnetta, our star gazers finally bloomed!! this is the first time they have popped open since we planted them last year…
i guess all the rain and cool weather was just what they wanted!

jasper is always singing in some part of the house so when i was in the master bedroom and heard her yowling away, i didn’t pay any mind (other than thinking how funny she is!)…
but then i came walking out of the bedroom and i saw this:

i was digging around in one of our spare closets today and jasper found some old christmas wrapping paper…
she took complete advantage of my lack of attention and within minutes had the entire roll of paper completely strung out on the floor!

my man turned 38 today!
one of the guys that he works with thought he was around 27 or 28 and didn’t believe him when jon mentioned his real age…
i told him that is what he gets for looking so good

arnetta, i have some spider lilies coming up in a couple of the flower beds but not nearly enough!
this flower bed and the rosemary bed are the only two beds popping up with the lilies…
there should be tons more but it doesn’t look like it will be a good year for them

jon went to the shooting range yesterday but jasper and i headed over to leigh’s house for an impromptu cookout…
it was nice and relaxing and plus it made me remember how much i appreciate jasper getting older (sometimes!)…

we had another little gym session today and i caught a sort of good shot of them running around…
they have one more week of soccer and then move on to basketball… the class ranges from two (jasper and marcos, the boy in the pictures) to five but it is never a big class…

this morning, i am in the kitchen and i hear jasper’s bedroom door shut – nothing new there so i give her my normal several minutes before sticking my head inside to see what she is doing…
