we had an eventful day planned – a birthday party and then the circus…wow, what was i thinking?  we made it to the birthday party (and had a great time, happy bday, daniella!) but due to the No-Nap Factor (an All Important Thing that has to be factored into every equation – a person only understands the All Importanceness of a nap when they become a parent…but not until then) we had to skip the circus…

bummer that but i think we will forego scarborough faire tomorrow and try to catch the circus then instead…cross your fingers!

jasper lilith was a bit on the “i only want mama or da to hold me” side today which is so rare that i didn’t even know what to do – usually at parties and large gatherings, she pretty much gets passed from one person to another and loves every minute of it…but not today…no, not today…most likely this was due to the No-Nap Factor, but whatever it was, she kept me busy (did i say busy?  i mean speed racer…she kept me at speed racer speeds) and i think that i would have been too tired to do the circus even if jasper hadn’t been!

jon was the crawfish boiler person (meaning:  nasty, crab boil hands) so i got to be the “where is jasper lilith?” person :)…despite her mama-hungry self, she still had a good time chasing the older kids, eating cake, swinging, picking up rocks, climbing up rather high slides and giving said mama a heart attack, bouncing in the bounce house and eating more cake…

uh, huh – what did i tell you?  eating cake…eschewing any utensils, jasper dug in with her bare hands!  here she is finishing the last bit of cake – “finishing” being the more polite way of saying “stuffing it in her mouth”!

oh, she is very pleased with things here!  she really enjoyed swinging like the big kids (instead of being in one of those infant swings) and i foresee all swinging at the parks to be only using the big swings…yay…

the bounce house was a HUGE hit once all the bigger kids cleared out…jasper and another boy her age got to go in and they played and squealed and bounced and fell and had a ruckus of a grand time!  it was a hoot!

she also liked going through the opening tunnel – she would crawl into the tunnel, slide down the little ramp to land in my lap and crawl right back up to bounce some more…

bounce, bounce, bounce…and bounce!
